About the Project

Hidden North is an evolving visual archive of Melbourne’s inner suburbs — a quiet study of architecture, signage, and surface. Each image captures traces of time layered across walls, shopfronts, and facades that define the rhythm of Fitzroy, Collingwood, and Carlton.

The work reflects both preservation and change — documenting what remains while hinting at what’s fading — and invites viewers to slow down and notice the overlooked beauty of the built environment that shapes daily life.
